“VOICES OF OUR MUSES” CONCERT

Join the Rockville Chorus on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. for their “Voices of Our Muses” concert at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at the Rockville Civic Center Park located at 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville, Maryland 20851.

For this concert, Rockville Chorus Director, Bryan Seith, has chosen a program of music written entirely by American women composers. Some selections for the program include Meredith Monk’s “Panda Chant II”, “Jesu” and “Pluck the Fruit and Taste the Pleasure” by Libby Larsen and Yse Barnwell’s “We Are” and “Wanting Memories.” Additional compositions that the chorus will perform are Marta Keen’s “Homeward Bound”, “I Will Be Earth” by Gwyneth Walker, and “There is a Balm” by Alice Parker.

The Rockville Chorus is currently composed of 104 members. This year begins the 46th year that they have been entertaining local audiences of all ages with quality musical selections.
