“SONGS FOR A WINTER SOLSTICE” CONCERT

    Join the Rockville Chorus on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. for their “Songs for a Winter Solstice” concert at 7:30 PM at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at the Rockville Civic Center Park located at 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville, Maryland 20851.

For this concert, Rockville Chorus Director, Bryan Seith, has chosen a wide variety of music – from classical standards to familiar holiday selections. These include Pachelbel’s “Magnificat”, Mendelssohn’s “There Shall a Star from Jacob”, Rutter’s “What Sweeter Music”, and Thompson’s “Velvet Shoes”.

Other highlights of this concert include Eddleman’s “Dai Diddle Dai”, Harlan’s “African Alleluia”, Williams’ “Christmas Star” (from Home Alone 2) and Shaw’s “Doo-Wop Christmas (With You)”.

The Rockville Chorus is currently composed of over 90 members – the largest number of members in the Chorus’s history. They have been delighting local audiences of all ages with quality musical selections for more than 30 years.
