“WINTER WONDERLAND” CONCERT

Join the Rockville Chorus on Sunday, December 21, 2014 for their “Winter Wonderland” concert at 7:30 PM at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at the Rockville Civic Center Park located at 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville, Maryland  20851.

For this concert, Rockville Chorus Director, Bryan Seith, has chosen a wide variety of selections – both traditional and contemporary, to celebrate the season.  Classical pieces the Chorus will perform include selections from Vivaldi’s Gloria” and Benjamin Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols” as well as traditional carols such as “Deck the Halls in 7/8” by McKelvy and Foster and the “African Alleluia” arranged by Jay Althouse.

Shifting focus to more contemporary music, the Chorus will perform a modern song for Channukah, “We Are Lights” by Schwartz and Huff. Another highlight of this holiday concert is the premiere performance of in-house composer Lawrence’s Moss’s “One Thought Ever at the Fore”, with text by Walt Whitman.

The Rockville Chorus is currently composed of 70 members.  They have been delighting local audiences of all ages with quality musical selections for more than 30 years.
